Wrong front page – it shows old archieve

hello,
i have set a forwarding from my website http://www.starmanns.de to http://starmanns1.wordpress.com/
but when i go on http://www.starmanns.de my blog’s front page only shows the latest entry of august archieves.
why doesn’t it show the latest post (which is from sept, 2), if I come from http://www.starmanns.de??cheers, mark

When you look at Settings->General, what do you have as the opening page? If you set the Archive page as your opening page, that’s why.

Thanks – but there seems to be nothing at General Settings that sets the opening page.
At Settings->General I do not find anything that determines an opening page. I can set the page title, the time settings and the language.
But in Settings->Reading I determined “Front page displays: your latest posts”.

Ah, you’re right, my mistake.
http://www.starmanns.de/ is most definitely mapped to your August archive page.
Where and how, exactly, did you set your domain mapping? What does it say on your WordPress.com domain management page? If you bought the domain elsewhere, my guess is you have inadvertently put in the August archive page URL instead of http://starmanns1.wordpress.com/
