wrong image in reader- please help

    Hi,

    For some reason, the reader is pulling images from my media library which aren’t attached to the post they’re appearing with. This is a little frustrating.

    e.g. This post https://wordpress.com/read/post/id/47828428/437/
    on desktop uses a youtube video from the post as the reader image-( i’d prefer it were the featured image but it’s fine). The problem is on the iPhone and ipad app – the image that’s been pulled through is one from my media library that hasn’t been connected to any post I’ve published so far (it’s artwork I created as a header for a future post, not yet written).

    This is the second time this has happened. Anyone know why and what I can do to stop it?

    I already have a featured image set and the image the reader is using has never been connected to the post in any way.

    Hi there,

    I’m sorry the Reader isn’t working as expected. I just checked that post in the WordPress app on my iPhone, and it showed the first image in the post as the featured image: https://cloudup.com/cFeZWNBIumv

    Are you seeing a different image for that post? If so, can you make a screenshot of what you see instead? (You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service like Snaggy.) That will help me investigate this for you.
