Wrong language in My Public Profile >> Basic Details

  Hi. I’m in Brazil. Local language is Brazilian Portuguese, but I prefer to keep WP in English, so I managed to configure it in English, but part of the interface is shown in Portugal’s Portuguese. Specifically, My Public Profile >> Basic Details section is in Portugal’s Portuguese, not in English, as it should. That’s the only part of wp that is in wrong language, the rest of wp is ok. To make things worse, the part that is in Portuguese is writen in Portugal’s Portuguese, not PT-BR. Please fix it. It seems to extract this info from my browser. Thank you.

  We can only choose only interface language here > Settings > General

  Please, read my post BEFORE answering. I do not need two languages, I need only one (English). I choosed English on settings/general, already. But that Profile Settings part is shown in Portuguese. Why, oh, why?!

  Can you try clearing your browser cache, then in your dashboard, go to Users -> Personal Settings to verify the Interface Language? (I checked your account and Users -> My Profile is displayed in English from my end.)

  Did that, cleared everything (cookies, history etc etc etc. (Chrome 22.0.1229.94 m)), and no go. Still shows half english/half Portugal’s Portuguese. I think WB gets the language info from browser (pt-br), does not find it on its database, and decides to use Portugal’s Portuguese. What bugs me is why only in that section? I tried and changed language to Spanish, and it also got mixed with Portugal’s portuguese on that section.

  Tried using Internet Explorer, and the problem did not surface. So, the issue is Chrome/WB related.

  Thanks for following up with me.

  Can you try an Chrome Incognito window?

  If you get the same result, can you take a full, uncropped screenshot of the Users -> My Profile screen in your dashboard, upload it to your Media Library, and link to it in your reply to this forum thread?

  Can you take a screenshot of whole Google Chrome incognito window, so it also displays the address bar?
