Wrong link shows up when I post on another's site

If I leave a comment at another blog my monicker “IrishNewYorker” is displayed, however, if I click on it I am not taken to my main blog but another. Does anyone know how to change this. Thank you.

I’m having a similar problem. The first site I developed was my development site. Then I started a second blog that is my real blog–but when I make comments people are sent to my old development site. How do I get comments to make a link to the correct site? The comments should link to:
http://ahundredyearsago.wordpress.com/
(Instead the comments go to: http://helenasdiary.wordpress.com/ )

Thank you, Helen. Yes, that’s exactly my problem. Maybe someone will come along to assist us.

@chasale
Your username is linked to http://storiesconnectloveheals.com/ and if you want it to link to another blog then you must change the link. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.@helenasdiary
Please see what I posted for chasale and do the same. -
Thanks for your response, timethief, but I’m sorry I didn’t state my problem clearly enough. Let me try again. My public profile name is Irish New Yorker. I currently have two blogs that I use, one is the one I want linked to IrishNewYorker. In other words, when I go to someone’s site and leave a message, when they click on IrishNewYorker I want them sent to http://www.storiesconnectloveheals.com. Up until a few minutes ago if they clicked on INY that would take them to a site that I had never used–I don’t know how that happened–but now, since I have deleted that blog site, it takes me to a page that says that blog is no longer in existence. So, how do I get IrishNewYorker to take me to stories connect….
I hope I made that clearer. Thanks for your help and patience.

You need to log out of wordpress.com and then type in your username and wmail address and the blog you wish it to be linked to when you leave comments.

Hate to bother you folks again but I still can’t resolve this issue.
Here’s the sight I went to:
http://judylobo.wordpress.com/2011/03/26/grandma-and-the-triangle-shirtwaist-factory-tragedy/
I made a comment on the bottom and when i click on IrishNewYorker I go to a page that says the blog is no longer available.
Is there a place on my current blog that I can make a change that when someone clicks on IrishNewYorker it goes to my main blog http://www.storiesconnectloveheals.com
This is the kind of stuff that drives me nuts. I’m not the most computer literate person but know than many. I don’t know how a new person survives in the blogosphere.
Thanks again. This will be the last post, I promise.

I gave you the instructions above for changing that link from the deleted blog to the link for the active blog.
Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
If you cannot accomplish this yourself then please use this link to get Staff help. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks. Tried that earlier and I didn’t work. I’ll do what you suggest. Thanks for your all your help.

Charles,
Here our email address we register a username account under is our unique identifier. All the blogs you register under a username account ought to be displayed so you can choose them and change the link as I described above. Is the blog you want to link to appearing in the dropdown menu on this page or not? Dashboard -> Users -> Personal SettingsIf http://www.storiesconnectloveheals.com/ not appearing there and it is registered under the username of IrishNewYorker then you will have to contact Staff > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
