WRONG NAME ASSOCIATION

  hi,
  I TRIED COMMENTING ON SOMEONE ELSES BLOG AND THAT WAS SUCCESSFUL. however, WHEN I CLICKED MY NAME TO DIRECT ME BACK TO MY PAGE IT SENT ME TO SOMEONE ELSES PAGE WITH A SIMILAR BLOG.
  HO W CAN WE FIX THIS?

  When I click on your name here in this forum, it takes me to backyardtreasures.wordpress.com – Is this correct?

  ITS A BIT CONFUSING BECAUSE backyardtreasures.wordpress.com ISNT A SITE I CREATED. IT SHOWS THE BLOG HAS BEEN RUNNING EVER SINCE 2014.

  I JUST CREATED MY BLOG TODAY…https://backyardtreasuresforall.wordpress.com/.
  also, I HAVE A FEW OTHER WHICH I THOUGHT WAS UNDER ONE ACCOUNT.

  Is it possible that the person who created backyardtreasures.wordpress.com added you as a contributor or admin to their site? Do you know who they are?

  No I do not know who they are. Also, I have not been contacted by anyone to be a sponsor.

  Okay. I’m marking this topic for the staff to take a look and reply. I’ve never seen this happen, and can’t think of a rational explanation if you’re not connected with that site in any way.

  This will still need attention because I have begun looking at my web address and it is connected to the site backyardtreasures.wordpress.com however, as I created the page that name should have not been available for me to use as a web address if someone already uses it.
  I changed it to backyardtreasureforall.wordpress.com, but I cannot determine if the problem has been fixed.

  Hi there,

  Right now you have the address http://backyardtreasuresforall.wordpress.com entered as the Web Address in your account settings. You can enter any web address there and it will be the address that’s linked from your name when you leave a comment. (You can enter any web address there, not just sites you own at WordPress.com.) However, changing that web address won’t change the address on previous comments you already left — it only changes how your name is linked for future comments you make.
