Wrong name on facebook shares

When I share my blog called “Just some thoughts I have…”, which is http://www.bobby-c-blog.com
The wrong name is displayed in facebook. It shows it as being by “bobbycphoto”. But it should say by Bobby-C
I cannot find where “bobbycphoto” is noted anywhere in my account. Please advise.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I just checked your account and confirmed that your display name is set to Bobby-C, and I don’t see bobbycphoto anywhere in your account. Usually this can be fixed by disconnecting Facebook in your sharing settings and then reconnecting it. That will reset the Facebook connection so it grabs your most up-to-date information from WordPress.com. (That won’t change what’s already been shared on Facebook, but it should fix it for future posts.)
I see you’ve already reconnected Facebook like that — can you let me know what Facebook shows when you publish and share your next post? If it’s still displaying the wrong name, please let me know so I can keep investigating this for you.

I disconnected and reconnected FB last night, then published a new entry today. The problem remains.

I’m sorry that didn’t fix it. I did more investigating and found that Facebook seems to have saved the old name from a blog you used to own. Can you please try these more detailed steps to reset the connection with Facebook? This should help clear out any old saved information Facebook has about you and your blog:
- Log into your WordPress.com blog. Go to Settings→Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard and click the X next to the link to the Facebook profile or page you wish to disconnect.
- Reload the page and confirm the link now says Connect, but don’t click that link yet.
Log into your Facebook account. Then go to your Facebook Account Settings→Apps page by clicking this App Settings link. - Remove the WordPress app by clicking the X next to it. If you see a popup asking for confirmation, click the “Remove” button.
- Do not check the box to delete content created by WordPress.com. This will remove all previously publicized posts and there is no way to recover them.
- Log back into your WordPress.com blog. Go to Settings→Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard and reconnect Facebook.

Arghh!!!!
It’s back. I can’t post a picture here, but I did publish a new post today, and “bobbycphoto” is back on the facebook link.
Very frustrating. Any suggestions?

I’m sorry for the frustration! I checked with our developers, and they confirmed that everything is set up correctly on this end — the issue is just that Facebook has that old name saved in their system.
Unfortunately, at this point there isn’t anything more we can do from this end, as the problem is with the information Facebook has saved and is using on their end. It may just take a longer wait for Facebook to update everything with the correct author name that we’re giving them.
