Hello! How do you fix a glitch that shows the wrong number of followers on my blog? It shows on 37-something on my personal statistics, but on the blog, it shows 74-ish, and I don’t know how to fix it. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

The follow blog widget on your site shows your combined follower count for WordPress.com (40 at the moment), and your connected Twitter (24) and Facebook (16) accounts.

Hello, I am very new at using wordpress. For some reason, when if tried to log in today, my password no longer was working and I had to create another one. The format of my admin site has changed drastically in just the past few days. Followers are gone and widgets is no longer in the side bar. Also, the first thing that comes up when I log in is a listing of other bloggers. What is going on?

In future, please start your own thread instead of posting into unrelated threads created by other users. If you post into someone else’s thread I don’t have any of your account info visible, making it much harder to help you, especially if you also don’t include a link to your site in your comment.

If you can post here, you are already logged in. In absence of a link to the site you’re trying to access I can only guess that you’re trying to access a site in a different account, or a self-hosted WordPress site which is not connected to our system at all. We have not made any changes at all to the admin interfaces of WordPress.com since before Christmas, so the fact that it looks different to you tells me you indeed have a self-hosted WordPress site instead of a WordPress.com site.

If you give me a link to your site I’ll be better able to help point you in the right direction.
