  Hey WordPress team! I messed this up…signed up on WordPress.com instead of wordpress.org.

  Would you guys be able to migrate me over to the free plan on the .org site and refund me the $240 I just paid?

  There isn’t an “org site” as such in the same format as a site built here at WordPress.com. The .org software is free but you need to pay someone for a custom domain and for the hosting of a site. If you are within the refund window here you can pay some other company if you wish, but might not get the same level of support there. Have you already registered a custom domain here at WordPress.com? If that is your preferred address it might be a good idea not to cancel it here. You can point it elsewhere. You can request a refund in your dashboard at “manage purchases”.
