Wrong pricing at checkout
-
Hi! Today I mapped my website, and at checkout, I got the info the cost was $13, minus $8 for a credit with total to pay $5. The blue button also mentioned “Pay $5 and map your domain now”.
Then on the checkout screen, the price was changed back to $13 and that’s what I was charged.
I tried it again tonight and it still says $5.
How do I get the mapping for $5, as advertised?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Normally domain registration is $ 5.-/yr and
Domain Mapping is $ 13.-/yr
Total $ 18.-/year if you both register and map a custom domain name@supportmyoffice – almost – the modlook goes in the Tags on the right side

It appears there was an issue at checkout and your credits were not applied on your $13 purchase, the full price of domain mapping. Your account still reflects $8 of credits. Since the credits were not used, your prices are reflecting the use of those credits now.
To clear all this up, I’ve refunded your bank account $8 and removed the credits. You’ll see that refund appear on a bank statement in about a week, but you can confirm the refund in the Store > Billing History page of your blog’s dashboard.
Best,

Thanks Alex! I see the refund. I would like to know if I can transfer the mapping to another blog I have on WordPress?
Cheers

Hi Mathieu,
I’d be happy to move an upgrade from one WordPress.com site to another. Just let me know which upgrade needs to move, and to what WordPress.com site it needs to be associated.
Best,

Hi Alex! Thanks for your reply! I took my decision and currently, my blog rouynat.wordpress.com is mapped to rouynat.com
Instead, could I map my blog mattwarnet.wordpress.com to http://www.mathieuwpelletier.com ?
I appreciate,
Mathieu

Hi Mathieu,
All set! I’ve removed the rouynat.com mapping upgrade, and added a mapping upgrade for mathieuwpelletier.com . :)
You can edit your domain settings here if you need to:
https://wordpress.com/my-domains/
And don’t forget to change your name servers at the domain registrar to the WordPress.com records:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COMhttp://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
Let me know if you hit any snags with that.

Thanks! I was able to update the DNS settings with my service provider, everything should be working fine within 24hours.
I’m glad I was also able to keep my email address associated with my existing domain name, it must be a new WordPress function.
Thanks for the great service!
Matt
