  I tried to transfer my site name, americlectic.com to wordpress, paid the $13.00 and now it says my site
  is called americlecticdotcomdotcom. I don NOT want americlecticdotcomdotcom to be my blog name.
  What gives? Can I get my money back or can you make it americlectic.com?

  Hi there,

  Your domain name, americlectic.com, is still attached to your site and is the only thing that visitors to your site will see. However as a part of the design of our system (in order to prevent blog names from over-writing usernames and the like), when you register a blog name in the manner it sets your blog name up as being the domain name+”dotcom”. I don’t know why there are two “dotcom”s here, however!

  In any case, while nobody but you will see this side of your site since it is only accessed when writing blog posts, you can certainly still change it. You can follow these instructions to do so:
