!*&$%*(#!#!&! Gr-r-r-r-r. Wrong size picture on the post than what I set as image. It’s wide – 2.5 times the width to the height, I use the crop, save, and the post doesn’t change the picture wreck. Some pictures I do nothing and are set perfect, other times it’s a long strip picture. Take a look at John Cowardly Boehner post and you’ll see how much picture is lost from set image to post. genesisoracles.org
Ha! And I wanted to go to the Aurora Borealis? I’d go crazy in a week!

    Hi David,

I just took a look at the post which you mentioned and the only image that I saw attached to it was the featured image (of the Cowardly Lion), which is showing at the same dimensions that you have set it in the Featured Image section. I didn’t see anything else. Did you remove the image that you’re talking about?

Let me know if you’re still having issues!

Good morning Sir, The Lion you saw in the post was a 2nd choice I had to use, but I had to work with it in my “photo gallery” in my computer so it would fit right. I had tried to use the Lion in the top left corner of the image library, (which I uploaded so you could see the difference – more of the lion body) but it was cutting off everything from the chin down and from the eyebrows up. (couldn’t even tell it was cowardly lion)So that post is good enough. But…. on the same issue, I have a post in draft right now, (Name: Best Gun Control Idea) and when I set the image of the presidents, it cuts off the top which reads, “This Men Support Your Right to Bear Arms.” and it cuts off the bottom which reads, “These Men Oppose It.” The width is no problem. I used the crop and saved and it looks perfect in the set image page, but on publish…”Poof!” It’s cropped crazy. Some posts have had a tall image i.e., “The Golden Gate” which featured a Statue of Liberty, and it went right in perfectly. Most images go right in, but like these two issues, the post image winds up being like a shape of a sliver like 2.5 times the width to 1 times the height. I don’t have any finger nails left!
But thanks much for your help. You guys are always so patient. —David Rey

    Hi David,

If you check out the quick specs for your theme on the theme’s information page: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/itheme2/

You can see at the bottom that your featured image is limited in size:

The large featured image size is 593 wide by 261 high.

The image which you have placed there is 600 × 429, so that is why it is getting cropped. You can upload a smaller image or shrink this one before uploading in order to make it fit within those requirements and it will work fine!
