Wrong user name on my site

  my user name is wrong, I did not enter it that way and it prevented me from getting into my site for a long time, I would like to know how to change it back to what I originally wanted, its way too long now.

  You can change your display name (the name that is seen on your posts and comments). http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-display-name-nickname

  However, once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use.
