“wrong” username when using WordPress OpenID to comment on blogs outside WP
-
I like to use WordPress Open ID when commenting on blogs on i.e. blogspot.com. The first time you do this, clicking on Publish your comment, you are asked, when authenticated, if you want to be authenticated just this one time or always.
I clicked always, and with the “wrong” username, meaning a username different than the one I use in my own blog and when commenting in WordPress blogs. It annoys me, but I cannot figure out how to change it.
It would be great if someone could help me out!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same problem. We all do. It assumes that I still have the timethief.wordpress.com blog when it was deleted. It will not allow me to use the correct URL. There’s is no “fix” for this. I gave up looking for one last year. I only post comments on blogspot (blogger) blogs that allow username and URL now.

It can’t be fixed?! At least I can stop feeling plain stupid for not being able to fix it…
Thanks for answering!

Open ID held such promise, but sadly it has not worked out too well. My problem with having one universal login across the internet, or a lot of the internet, is that if someone guesses or gets ahold of your ID and password, they could possibly cause all sorts of mayhem.
