Wrong website coming up
-
I am totally a newbie when it comes to this website stuff. over the last tw-weeks I’ve gone back and forth between my previous host/registrartech support and WordPress Support – after all that time, This morningI thought I had finally gotten my WordPress site set up properly
This morning when I typed http://www.cjscountrydance.com, the site I built on WordPress (cjscountrydance2.wordpress.com) came up. I sent a test email to ensure that email sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) would route to me at (email visible only to moderators and staff). Everything seemed to work fine.
NOW – when I type http://www.cjscountrydance.com I get my old – stagnant one-page website, that was built for me by someone else. I REALLY need my new site to be the one that comes up.
HELP !
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m seeing your wordpress.COM site using Ocean Mist just fine. It comes right up. This sounds like possibly a nameserver updating issue with your ISP, or possibly an issue with the DNS cache on your computer.
What operating system are you on and what version? Once we have that information, I’ll give you some stuff to try so that we can eliminate your computer as an issue.

It’s just that domain changes take awhile to settle down.
Hint: Set your new URL, cjscountrydance.com (with no www!) as Primary in your Domain settings.

http://cjscountrydance.com/ appears to be working properly.
It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

Yeah, I am having the same problem… I hope it fixes itself soon, because my site gets visited pretty frequently. saintroserecords.com (the old one just is crappy and says under construction)

@saintroserecords, I’m seeing your blog here just fine under your new domain name, so just give it a little time.
