wrong wordpress

Hi, New here and have a little problem. I set up wordpress.com earlier today as I wanted to run appthemes classipress theme to run a simple classifieds service. I registed a new domain with them & Un-beknown to me, wordpress.com does not allow this or any other theme to be uploaded and now reading on, I need to run it on WordPress.org. Support is now closed for the weekend and I see I have 2 days from time of registering to cancel and get a refund. Really want to get on with this, but do I have to wait till Monday now to get an answer from support.

I will flag this thread so Staff are aware of your refund request. Not to worry as you have posted here withing the 2 day time frame allowed.

You can just change where the name servers point and send them to your new host. You should still get a refund for the domain mapping that you will not be using. But changing the name servers is much easier and quicker than registering your name a second time and there is no guarantee that you would get the domain name when it made it back to the “wild” someone else could register it.

This way you can have your site up and running today without needing to wait for the staff to respond.
