wrong wordpress name given when signing up

  I just registered and instead of learningabouttheworld.wordpress.com, it came up as learningabouttheworlddotcom.wordpress.com

  How do I get it changed? Please help!

  learningabouttheworld.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.

  You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  So the software gave you the URL you have now. You cannot edit any URL but you can change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http://. You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ Look closely at the image to find the correct My Blogs location

  Note that both changing a URL or deleting a URL are permanent and irreversiable actions.

  I think I really messed up. I registered my new domain I purchased through the wordpress site I do not want (learningabouttheworldDOTCOM.wordpress.com)

  I need the new imlearningabouttheworld.wordpress.com to point to learningabouttheworld.com

  Is there anything I can do?
