Wrongly charged

Last month whilst doing an online course I followed a link to WordPress to create a blog which I did and then was invited to have a domain name free for 12 months. I signed up for this but was then shocked to discover that I have been charged already the $48 for the web domain. To make matters worse, the computer are used to sign up on no longer works and I cannot discover which email account I was signed in with when the WordPress blog was created. I’ve tried all the email addresses I can think of and none of them get me anywhere. Consequently I cannot access my blog account and cannot find any correspondence from WordPress about this new blog account. The only one I have been able to access is this account that I am currently using, which is an old account I had with WordPress.
I am desperate to find how I can both access the new account I made and also get the wrongly charged fee refunded.
Please can anyone help with this?
    Thank you
    Lenni

    Hi there:

We offer one free year of a domain registration with the purchase of any WordPress.com plan. Based on the amount, it looks like you opted for the WordPress.com Personal plan which is billed at the time of purchase. You can review what that plan offers here:

    https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Regarding the account it was purchased under, we have absolutely no history of purchases, transactions, or billing activity of any kind under the account you’re currently logged into.

If you enter the charge details at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ we should be able to help you with this.

The transaction ID needed will be on your bank statement as WordPress followed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:

    WordPress XXXXXXXXXX

    I hope that helps!
