Nothing on that page says why I can no longer even post youtube videos to my page. How server space do they occuppy, do tell me that?

Hi
For your post in November, you embedded the YouTube video into your post, which does not take up any server space. Think of it as the video living on YouTube and putting a “window” on your site so that you can see the video.
Here’s the support doc on how to add the YouTube video to your posts: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
When you mention that you were unable to add the YouTube video, did you get a specific error message? If so, can you let us know what that is and we’ll help you troubleshoot it.
Hope this helps!

If you go to my page – https://palladini69.wordpress.com/. it is the first/latest post you see Making Chili. If uou notice at the last of the post, there is a Youtube link.
I went to add media, then add via URL and it says this “1 file could not be uploaded because the file type is not supported.”

And the URL i posted in add URL is the Link to the Youtube video that is at the bottom of my post.

You can’t upload the URL into the media library as it is not actually a file.
Instead, you want to paste the entire YouTube URL directly into your post (on a new line, not inside a paragraph)
So, for your video, you would paste:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srI7Y8nbyoo&feature=youtu.bePlease note, this is the URL from the browser window, not the shortened/sharing URL that YouTube generates.
If you paste that into your visual tab of your post editor, the video will appear.
There is a video on the support doc that I linked to above that will show the process visually.
Hope this helps!

Ok, so I moved my link down to a new line, by putting the cursor in front of the link and hitting enter, some little box showed up below the link, I hit publish and it still does not do a damn thing but leave the link there.

@palladini69
I’m so glad you resolved this using melindahelt’s help.@melindahelt
This is to say that I appreciate all you do helping others. This is an extremely busy season for our business and also for my vocal engagements Hence, my availability here is spotty and I’m subject to interruptions when I am helping here. Thanks and best wishes. -
I learned that when posting a video from Youtube, you do link the URL, just paste the URL on separate line, like you would do with text. I watched that Youtube Video that was linked to here on this forum link and watched a few time before I caught that little tidbit of info
Thanks to all that replied, I am sorry it took me so long to catch on here, my disability is my head, afterall it either Early Onset Alzheimer’s or full on Dementia I have.
