    I have a number pf questions:I cannot understand how to use the vertical dashboard as the writing next to the icons seems to have disappeared – or rather a white page has obscured it. Next, I was told WordPress site was free, but it seems I can’t proceed without paying at a minimum £3 per month. Next, I already have a domain name which I paid for (?) through Wix; I can’t understand what to do about this. OF COURSE, as usual with anything online, all the ‘helpful’ boxes that explain how to do things don’t relate to the difficulties I’m having (because I’m an individual person not a robot). I don’t understand what it means to ‘connect’ to my Wix domain or site (or which it is) and be ‘pointed to’ WordPress. I’m told I can’t transfer or something else (I forget which because I’m now off that page). I simply want to copy my pages on Wix and paste them into WordPress Blog. What on earth does this mean? Lastly – who do I ask when I can’t understand something? It seems I have to pay a subscription before getting through to human help. Is this right? Lastly – how long do I have to wait before receiving any answers to these questions – or might it be never? Also – where do I look for the answers – I am not told.

    I am not sure which part of the dashboard you mean but I recorded a video on how you can open the main options: https://d.pr/v/BUl2pO

    You can see the available plans here: https://wordpress.com/plans/sararedway.blog Free plan is one of them, just bear in mind that without the paid plan the custom domain cannot be set primary so it will reload to sararedway.wordpress.com.

    Regarding the domain registered with WIX, you can transfer it to WordPress.com https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/ but it is possible only 60 days after the registration, or connect it https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/ – this means that it would be registered there but it would show your site hosted with us. Connecting is free when you have the paid plan.

    By moving or connecting the domain you will not move the content but you can follow this guide to do that: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-wix/
