Wu Wei: how can I remove the date from my posts?

I want to remove the date from my posts.
I have looked at the response in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wu-wei-how-to-remove-the-date-from-posts?replies=4 and I have pasted the code from that response in the my CSS stylesheet editor but it doesnt work.
I have read through the css tutorials and I really don’t get CSS and HTML. Can someone tell me exactly what I have to do to remove the date from my post please? I’m using the wu wei theme.

I was just going to ask the same question. I don’t want the date to appear with the post. How do I remove it. I tried pasting the same code .post-metadata {display: none;} into my CSS and the date is still there.
