Wufoo question

I noticed WP.com supports some new Wufoo forms. One form has a credit card info section. Does this mean that WP.com will now support plugins that accept payment?

This is a link to the announcement that was just made. The answer to your plugins question a shortcode has been developed. There is no FTP access to WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers can’t install plugins.

I’s like to add that as we Volunteers answering support questions have no information over and above what all other WordPress.com bloggers have you may wish to address your question to Staff. If so then here’s the link. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

yes, thanks. What I meant was now that one can install the new Wufoo “apps” I noticed a few had payment options (the forms themselves). Some had credit card and check info spaces.
Also, the newsletter (Wufoo) for example (WP.com) mentioned that it can be linked to MailChimp. Can it also go to Aweber?

This was just announced and we Volunteers have zero information in addition to what was announced. In fact, I doubt that most of us have even had time to read the announcement. I’m sorry but we Volunteers do not have answers to your questions, and that’s why I directed you to contact Staff. :) -
You can use the form for payments/donations buy you have to have a wufoo paid account at the $29.95/month level. You can actually get the first 5 transactions without the paid account but after that you must pony up.
You can accept payments via: PayPal, Google Checkout and Authorize.net.
I don’t use the paid account but have been using wufoo with mailchimp for other sites not wordpress related. Because Wufoo has an RSS feed for your submitted forms, as long as aweber can capture the feed, it should work. Maybe try a google search for “wufoo and aweber.” I’ve just installed the wufoo widget here:

Yes it is. I notice that bradborland has hired a web host and will be setting up a WordPress.org install. I do hope he returns to read what foggyphils has posted.

Thanks guys. I sat down thinking I’d write a quick tutorial…2 hours later! Good to know it’s not wasted effort. These things always take longer to write than I originally intend and I didn’t even get to the how to integrate with mailchimp etc. or make it ‘purtier’ part ;)
