www and non-www verification in Google Webmaster Tools
-
When registered to Google Webmaster Tools, Google recommends to add both www and non-www version of the site. Can this be done with a wordpress.com blog?
After the inclusion of both, the user should pick the preferred address from the two in Webmaster Tools to increase search visibility.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks but I don’t see (or understand) a answer to my question in that thread.
I’m mainly trying to figure how can I tell Google in WMT, that non-www is my blogs url structure. WMT does not allow me to do this before I have verified in WMT that I own both versions of the url.
So can I somehow verify in WMT that I own both of the url-structures OR otherwise relay to Google that non-www is my blogs desired structure.

@niceshrike – Hi there, to verify your WordPress.com site with Custom Domain with Google, please follow these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/verifying-your-domain-with-google/
As far as www and non-www, no WPcom domain uses www
@richardolga2078 These are the support forums for sites hosted by WordPress.com. Referring to information posted in the forums for he standalone WP software has little if no relevance to sites hosted by WordPress.com. If you need to understand better the difference, please read this https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
