WWW redirect to canonical form
-
I need to redirect www prefix to canonical domain nameHi, I have recently purchased a WordPress.com service for my webpage. I have used in the past a wordpress.org application hosted in my own virtual servers and there are many references from multiple sites to our webpage (google, youtube, Facebook, tweeter, and more) http://www.lalita.net. Now I am hosting my page with your service and apparently I can not use www any more but lalita.net instead. This is a big problem because most people (non technical) are used to put www as prefix. Is there a solution, I do not care if is automatically redirected to the canonical form and appears in the url on its form I just do not want to loose customers, traffic and many years of SEO.
Kind regards, Jeronimo

Hi there,
To answer your question, anyone who types http://www.lalita.net will be redirected to http://lalita.net automatically. Nothing more you need to set up on your end.
I see that you have domain mapping added to your site already, and your domain appears ready to go. From here, all you need to do is go to Store>Domains, and set lalita.net as your primary domain.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
