I’ve used Blogger.com since it started. Why change? If I do change to WordPress, how long can I expect the process to take? I’ve been a one-man band for nearly 20 years, this year we are recruiting a 12-person board of directors, an Executive Director/Partner and Ambassadors to Local Chambers, Community Newspapers, and Libraries. I’ve thought about finding a pro-bono social media agency to help, we want to find advertising support with Fortune 500 companies that support the economic system nobel prize winning economist Edmund Phelps talks about in his book Mass Flourishing, EF Schumacher talks about in Small is Beautiful, a good example, John Mackey when he started Whole Foods, Sam Walton when he started Wal-Mart.
Sorry to post such a long message, I don’t have time to post a short one! :-) I look forward to your posts, or call me [redacted]

I can’t answer that. Perhaps a member of staff can. I have tagged this thread for a response by staff (and also to ask them to remove your phone number as there is no telephone support here).

To be honest, it’s hard to say exactly how long a site migration will take. It sounds like you have a decent sized site. Do you mind sharing the URL so we can take a closer look?
The first thing to sort out is which version of WordPress you want to use. There are 2 options.
1. WordPress.com (here) It’s a managed environment, where we handle the gritty details to keep your site online. This option also provides you with a dedicated team of Happiness Engineers to help you when/if you need us. That’s me ;)
2. WordPress.org software is something you’d manage independently. All upgrades, breaks and fixes, etc.. would fall to you. It’s an open sourced software project.
Depending on the site requirements, and your own level of experience, and comfort in web-related things will help determine the right option for your site. You can also review the “getting started” materials for both.
This page is designed to point out some major differences:
