It looks like the domain was registered at and hosted with Google, so nothing to do with here at WordPress.com at all.
Domain:thebluechilli.co.uk
Registrar:Google LLC
Name Servers:
ns-cloud-d1.googledomains.com
ns-cloud-d2.googledomains.com -
i paid for hosting on the 14th July , the transaction was from Andrew Wilkinson,
Blue Chilli Music and the bank used was Monzo the transaction number was Ymap00zt85
and i paid $51 so what has happened to my money? -
??? Your site is up and online so perhaps reach out to whoever you paid to set up your site if you’re not happy with it.
-
So I’ve just paid WordPress $50 and ive got nothing in return, I believe that’s fraud, I notice there’s no way of making a complaint so I guess this is an acceptable way to run a business?

So you’re positive you paid money to WordPress.com? Why? Did you want to move your site here? You can check at
This thread has been tagged to ask a member of staff if this account has indeed purchased an upgrade. -
I’ve got a receipt I don’t even know if it’s recurring payment yet there’s no way of sending a receipt, no email address just a second rate company who don’t care about helping their customers
-
Hey @bluechillimusic, it looks like someone with another account did indeed buy a plan back in July and started a site here. That was under another account.
And you’re currently using some other service. It’s got to be frustrating to be paying for your hosting twice!
Unfortunately we’re quite a while out of the refund period:
https://wordpress.com/support/refunds/#plansThe good news is, you bought a year of hosting here. So if you’re getting billed monthly for your current host, you’d be more than welcome to move it back to our services. The page you’ve got would be pretty simple to copy over, and we could give you some tips for finishing up the other pages you’d started here, too.
Would you be interested in moving back?

Thank you for you’re reply and I apologise for getting annoyed, firstly that wouldn’t be Jacob Smith would it? Using my business card? Jacob is my son but he’s gone abroad and I haven’t heard from since about July.
Secondly if I’ve brought hosting from you can I use that for another site or does it have to be used for thebluechilli.co.uk?
Regards

Hi there,
Thank you for you’re reply and I apologise for getting annoyed, firstly that wouldn’t be Jacob Smith would it? Using my business card? Jacob is my son but he’s gone abroad and I haven’t heard from since about July.
For security reasons we can’t share info about other accounts on our system, but I would recommend that you check with anyone you think is involved, so that might be a good place to start.
Secondly if I’ve brought hosting from you can I use that for another site or does it have to be used for thebluechilli.co.uk?
To clarify, because this upgrade is on another account, and not your @bluechillimusic login, to use this upgrade you would need to log in to the account it was purchased under. Generally speaking upgrades on WordPress.com cannot be used for sites hosted elsewhere (the upgrade only applies to sites on our service) but on this end you could use the upgrade for a new site you set up here.

I’m about to write another site particularly aimed at musician blue chilli has a contact with, so if I write it on WordPress I can use that hosting to host it, is that correct?

You’re certainly welcome to host your new site with us; there is no limit to how many sites you can have under one account. :)
When it’s time to add your custom domain, we have a few options: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/
Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Ok, this is going right over my head :) my original site that was supposed to hosted by you but for some reason wasn’t even though hosting was paid for…….I’ve now got a second site that has been written on nicepage, I’ve just purchased the domain name krisb.info from google, now can I host site with you using the hosting that’s already been paid for? and if so how do I go about this? I have requested google to transfer the domain name to WordPress
Many thanks
Andy -
I’m sure staff will return to this thread but note that thebluechilli.co.uk and krisb.info are at Google not here at WordPress.com. If you have paid for another site here at WordPress.com it is reached by a different account. If that account was created by your son you’ll need to get the username/password and or email address associated with the site from him. Did he register a custom domain at the time or not? Then return here to this thread logged in to that account.
Note also that you can’t transfer a domain from Google to here (or anywhere) until you’ve owned it for 60 days. You can leave it at Google and connect it to a site here immediately though. (Personally I find it easier to have a domain and a site at the same place. A custom domain would have been included free for the first year with any paid plan purchased here at WordPress.com). -
I’ve got the user name and login and the first page of the original site he was supposed to create, if I type http://www.krisb.info into google it talked me to WordPress, this should have all been done by my son but he let me down and now I’m struggling my through things but I’m paying for hosting with WordPress I’m not using
-
Hi there, if you were paying someone for hosting, then you were using the self-hosted WordPress software from https://wordpress.org/ and hosting it elsewhere.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
You can move that site over to us instead by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/import/#self-hosted-word-press-org-site but first you’ll need to fix krisb.info so it points back to the old hosted WordPress.org site. As that varies greatly depending on the hosting provider, you’ll need to get the instructions for that from them.
—
Alternatively, you’re welcome to start over with us and just cancel your hosting provider.
If you’re just starting out with WordPress.com, I recommend you go through our new user’s guide: https://wordpress.com/learn/
In just a few quick steps, you’ll learn about all the best and most useful features of WordPress.com, with lots of screenshots and videos.
You can also browse our support documentation at https://wordpress.com/support/
And we have additional courses available at https://wpcourses.com/ and webinars at https://wordpress.com/webinars/
When it’s time to add your custom domain, we have a few options: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/

You know what you’ve made it so difficult Inthink it’s best I cancel my WordPress account. I’ve paid $50 dollars for nothing and don’t expect to be charged again when the yesr is up

You’ll need to log in to the account here where you made a payment to turn auto renewal off.
