thank you so much for your reply, it means a lot to me. Anyway I had assumed it was a .com site and it was a bit of a shock to see that I had bought a .co site that I never knew existed. Anyway is it possible to convert it to a .com site and will this cost extra?

.co is the country-specific domain extension for Columbia. It’s also a top-level domain like .com, so you can keep using it if you prefer. It’s just a bit more expensive than a plain .com domain, because .co domains are quite popular.
It’s not possible to convert it into a .com domain, but you can cancel the .co domain and register a .com one instead. However, since I first replied to you the domain has passed out of the refund period, so I’ve sent you an email to discuss how we might be able to resolve this.
