  I already have the above website. What I am trying to do is load WordPress onto it so I can add/make changes to the above website. Getting confused can you help or do it for me please?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Aloha onecornishmanblog, It looks like you are working with a self-hosted WordPress.org site instead of the WordPress.com-hosted version supported here.

  Learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

  I would recommend searching on the WordPress.org support forums for similar issues. If you cannot find anything that works, you can start your own thread. The forums are completely separate from each other, so you will need to register an account there if you haven’t done so already.

  How do I go about doing that and disposing of the onecornishmanblog please?

  As @geoffreyshilling said earlier onecornishman.com is hosted by GoDaddy . That site is online and already has WordPress.org software up and running. Why are you trying to add WordPress to it again?

  You also have a different empty site here at WordPress.com onecornishmanblog.wordpress.com. Can you explain what it is you actually wish to achieve?

  Hi,

  I want to be able to alter/add things on my onecornishman website. At the moment it will not allow me to do so. It does not recognise my email address and password. When I try and change it it does not accept it.

  Hi there,

  As two volunteers in this thread have already indicated, your site, onecornishman.com, is NOT on WordPress.com. You are using the self-hosted WordPress.ORG software on that site, and it has no connection at all to your WordPress.com account. That site has its own unique login that’s stored in its database on your hosting provider’s servers. We have no ability whatsoever to help you reset the password for that site.

  You can find the instructions to reset the password on a self-hosted WordPress website here:

  Your hosting provider for that site appears to be https://www.ecowebhosting.co.uk/, so you need to contact them for more help with that.

  If you want the ability to manage that site via your WordPress.com account, you will need to install and connect the Jetpack plugin on that site, but you’ll only be able to do that once you’ve regained access to it.
