WXR file Missing

  I am trying to export from one blog and then export into another,
  I export as says then when I go to import it says Sorry, there has been an error.
  This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number

  I guess I open the file I download but it is empty?

  What am I doing wrong?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi vintagecoffeemomma, I was just searching the web for this error and found your request.

  With the file being empty, it almost sounds like it’s timing out somehow. If you have a big site, can you try going to export > posts and just select a date range? That will make a smaller export file. If that works, try selecting a bigger date range and exporting that. Let me know what you find.
