  I read in the FAQs that if the editor disappears, I can use Ctrl+F5 to bring it back. I have been doing that for the past 2 hours and still I see only the HTML tags instead of the formatting buttons. Why is this?

  Try going to Users > My Profile and see if the box for the editor is checked?
