WYSIWYG editor not working

I am using the Lorencia theme and after updating to WordPress 3.9 (and now 4.0), the WYSIWYG editor is not working. It’s driving me nuts, and making it impossible for my client to make changes. I’ve tried contacting the theme developer, but they have not responded. Does anyone have an ideas on how I can resolve this?

I have the same issue. The developer is mia. I wonder, if they coded in an existing page builder like the visual composer. If so, we could just install that and it would probably work.

Hmmm… do you know if there is a way to find out? Or do you think there is another plugin that can be installed to make the editor work? I’ve been in touch several times with Mojo Themes (which is where I bought the theme), and they have yet to step up to the plate to resolve this. They just offered me a different theme, but I have spent many, many hours building this site with Lorencia. I’d hate to start from scratch!

That’s not a WordPress.com hosted blog. We are unable to provide support for any sites that are not hosted here at WordPress.COM. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.

Hi there. So it’s the newest wp update that is causing the problem. If you downgrade to 3.9.4 or what ever the latest version in the 3 versions is, it will work.
I found some blog posts that talk about downgrading it but I would try that only with a full backup.

That theme does not exist at WordPress.COM. We do not provide support for any sites that are not hosted by WordPress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
