X2 WORDPRESS ACCOUNTS CLASHING ON SAME DOMAIN

  • Unknown's avatar

    I got this notification:

‘This site may be a copy of WordPress with a different hosting service. Here’s the best way to find help with that. If you’re not sure though, please share your question with a link, and we’ll point you in the right direction!’

I have a usernames both attached to the same domain: http://www.kiyanawrraps.com
    1. kiyanawrapsit
    2. Madeleine_8321

Jetpack and woo commerce are being confused and unable to install and operate as it seems communication is coming from both usernames.

Username 2. Madeleine_8321 is where I built my site using the SAHEL theme bought on Envento which came with the theme

Username 1. kiyanawrapsit was recently created to gain access to jetpack and woo commerce dashboards, however my website built with the SAHEL theme is not there – it says no website available on dashboard

What should I do? My instinct is to permanently delete 1. kiyanawrapsit WordPress account.

Can you help with this issue? my server provider says the issue is not them, the theme makers are saying it’s not them.

I look forward to your response.

  • Hi Madeleine, if it helps, kiyanawraps.com is a copy of the free WordPress software. You’ll have your own logins for that.

WordPress.com and Jetpack are both part of our company, Automattic. Your site is connected to our services through your kiyanawrapsit account.

So it’s reasonable to have two logins for the same person on that one site: one for the wp-admin area, and one for our services — which you might be using for Jetpack Backup, or Gravatar, WooCommerce, or any other number of things. It’s probably okay to go ahead and keep them both, but if you aren’t using any of our services and want to close this account, you can. Here’s how:

“kiyanawraps.com is a copy of the free WordPress software. You’ll have your own logins for that.”

I Don’t understand. The website is being hosted by another server and WordPress came with it – if that makes sense.

I am not an expert, but from what I understand, is that the jet pack just won’t load and connect on the WordPress admin/username I am using. Must I transfer permissions to that account?

I just need it work so that I can complete the payment element of woocommerce and it seems that cannot be done without Jetpack fully installing. it is having trouble pulling data, and now so does woo commerce.

    Please help me understand.

Also to add that the WP-admin username is that one hosting the shop and theme – how do I get jetpack to function on that end as opposed to the other as that is preventing Stripe, woo commerce to function?

    Thanks again

I Don’t understand. The website is being hosted by another server and WordPress came with it – if that makes sense.

WordPress.com is a managed WordPress software hosting provider. Your site is using the WordPress software (from WordPress.org) at TSOHost, your hosting provider. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two separate entities and we can only help with sites hosted here at WordPress.com.

If you’re trying to connect Jetpack in order to use WooCommerce features, they require that you connect to a WordPress.com user account to be fully activated.

Note that WordPress.com accounts are different from the account you use to log into your site. WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org sites are different entities. Visit the following link to learn the differences:
    https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Therefore you just need to connect the wp-admin user account to your WordPress.com account to connect and activate Jetpack.

If you still have trouble, you’ll need to reach out to Jetpack support for further assistance.

    I hope that clarifies things!

Hi thanks for the prompt response.

    I think that’s where I’m also confused.

How how do I do attach the the following: “wp-admin user account to your WordPress.com account to connect and activate Jetpack.”?
