Xanga file is not an XML file.

  Not sure what I’m doing wrong. WordPress keeps telling me that the archive files I downloaded from Xanga are not XML files. They are, but it keeps telling that they are not. Any suggestions?

  Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually before your import will show up on WordPress.com.

  Hi @electricalstar,

  It looks like the file you are trying to upload is a zip file. Once you download that zip file to your computer from Xanga, you will need to extract the individual XML file for the import to work. The process is described in detail here:
