xanga posts not uploading

why arent my posts uploading? i downloaded my xml file from xanga and am trying to upload here and it shows successful but it isnt showing up at all. the xml file contains data, i can open it in word and read my old posts

Hi there, looking at previous forum posts on the subject, are you trying to upload a single XML file? If so, what is the size? If it is very large file, you can try exporting several smaller files from xanga if the site is still online.
Otherwise you could try by using the WordPress importer rather than the Xanga importer.

two xml files, both small, first is 881 byes and 2nd one 135kb. i uploaded them in order, got successful e-mail confirmation. i can see nothing. ive uploaded them multiple times after and no posts. the first one contains nothing but the second one has all my old xanga posts. I used the xanga importer via the wordpress website on the admin panel. is there another way?

The earlier advice I found was to try the WordPress importer.

I used the xanga importer via the wordpress website on the admin panel.
As justjennifer suggested, please try using the WordPress importer rather than the Xanga importer.
The files also need to be uploaded in order. If you have an .xml file without a number, upload that one first. Then move on to the file ending in _1, then _2 etc.
