Xanga Uploader, Please?

  I’m brand new here. I’ve been on xanga for 4 years and finally got fed up with their site management. I’d really like to transfer my posts to WP. I didn’t take the time to see if anyone else had posted on the topic of getting a xanga importer since I’ve been attempting to find a way to upload my posts from there in the forums for a couple hours now…I can only handle so much forum browsing. :)

  Anyway. It seems there’s no direct way to upload xanga posts/comments/etc to WP.com blogs like there is for blogger, etc. It would be really awesome to have and it seems like many people are looking for the same feature.

  Had you taken the time to simply enter xanga into the forum searchbox, you’d have found several threads:

  Thanks for the relpy ella. I don’t think you really read my post though. I was mentioning it would be really nice to have a xanga importer like there is for Blogger, MT, etc. : )

  I did my research. I searched for “xanga”…that’s what I was browsing for multiple hours. I wasn’t finding much in the lines of a simple way to import posts though. All I found were very round about ways to upload them. And it seemed like it required a wordpress.org blog as a go-between, which requires a host site, which requires money, which I’m not willing to pay. So, I guess I will live without my xanga posts on wordpress and hope a simpler method is made available.

  If you searched far enough you’d find the XML method, which doesn’t require an interstitial blog. Do a search for XML Import or RSS import. That’s the method I recommend when all else fails.
