No options for the subject for my question but this is the closest: If I become a client on this WordPress.com site, can I transfer a webpage I used XHTML to write, how much memory do I get, and if I already have a domain name, may I direct it to this site. If you supply a domain name, do I buy it, and if I do buy it and need to use someone else’s server in a couple of years, do I keep my domain name? If you do supply a domain name, can I choose it eg. johnhandcock.com or does it have to by johnyhandcook.wordpress.com? I don’t kmow how the ‘submit’ works but my email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

You can only host a site built with WordPress on WordPress.com as we are a managed WordPress host.
If your site is using XHTML, you would need to purchase hosting from a traditional hosting provider and you can upload your site there.
We only supply a free domain name for sites hosted here –
*.wordpress.com– if you want to use a custom domain name, there are a number of different options, all of which would require a paid upgrade of some sort. You can read more about this here:https://wordpress.com/support/domains/
