xml_rpc-32700 error
-
I’ve been using Jetpack for quite a while now (self hosted site), and today during testing I needed to turn off all plugins. When I re-enabled them, I’m no longer able to connect to the Jetpack server.
I’ve tried all the suggestions on the support page, without luck.
I’m on Media Temple (dv), I was using WP-Super Cache, but changed back to W3 Total Cache while trying to figure this out. I disabled all plugins besides Jetpack also with no luck.
Do you have anything else I could try?
Thanks,
~ Bryan

Theme functions can sometimes interfere like plugins.
Would you please try connecting while you temporarily have the Twenty Eleven theme active?

I should have also mentioned that I tried connecting while using Twenty Eleven… no luck…

W3TC has been known to conflict, and sometimes deactivating it won’t be enough. Can you please try following their complete uninstall procedure?

So I am finding a blank line in xmlrpc.php when I view it in the browser. On both my theme as well as Twenty Eleven. Any ideas how that could get there?
-
It could have been altered by a plugin or it could have been just an error during upload.
You can try replacing it with a copy from a fresh WordPress download.

Thanks for your help macmanx, I think there’s something fundamentally wrong with my install. I’ll keep poking around and post anything I find.

Found the error – I had a blank line in a must use plugin I have installed. So of course deactivating all plugins wouldn’t have found it!
