  Would anyone recommend using Yahoo Hosting as a website for paid hosting and use it with WordPress?

  Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it because, last time I check, they are somehow limited on “basic” Apache features; for example, they don’t support .htaccess files which are useful, among other things, for friendly URLs.

  The hosting providers I would recommend are:

  a) http://www.dreamhost.com
  b) http://www.hostgator.com
  c) http://www.mddhosting.com

  You can also do research at Web Hosting Talk where regular users review a lot hosting providers. MDDHosting, for instance, has excellent reviews there.
