This should not be linked to my personal email address any longer – please can you confirm the pending change ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) as I am unable to make a new WordPress account for myself. Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

year4twomoors,
Since I do not have access to personal account information I have flagged this for staff support.
Thanks!

Hi year4twomoors,
Your e-mail address on your account can be changed by going here: https://wordpress.com/me/account
When you change your e-mail address on an account, you should receive an e-mail at the new address that has a confirmation link. You must click on the confirmation link first, then the address will update on the account.
Since each address is only able to be associated with one WordPress.com account, if you’re trying to change to an address that is already associated with a WordPress.com account, it won’t be able to process. You’ll have to change to an address that does not already have a WordPress.com account associated with it.
For more, check out our support page on changing your e-mail address here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
Let me know if this helps, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to reach out to us here.

Thanks, when I go to the page you suggested though it says that the new email address (changed last year) is pending change and to check my inbox – is this the new email address because I am no longer at the school so have no contact with the new person on the email address. I’m just concerned that when I am trying to comment on a friends blog using my personal email address, it is using the previous school’s username which I am no longer supposed to have anything to do with.
Thank for your time, can you help any further? -
Hi year4twomoors,
Since the change is still pending, it sounds like the confirmation link that was sent to the new address, but was never activated. There should be a “Cancel” button next to the e-mail address form. Click Cancel, and your e-mail address will return to the current one you’re signed in under.
After you’ve canceled the previous change, you’ll need to update the e-mail address again on the same page at https://wordpress.com/me/account, then save the changes. Once they’re saved, a new confirmation e-mail should be sent to the new address. Make sure you click the activation link on the new e-mail address when it’s sent, or the change will not go through. Also, make sure you are the owner of the address, since WordPress.com accounts are strictly tied to the e-mail address associated with the account.
If you’re worried about the username on your account, that can also be updated at https://wordpress.com/me/account.
Let me know if this helps!
