    i was under the impression that the 3.95 per month personal blog plan was free for the first year however it keeps asking me for my card # so i can be charged 108.00? i don’t get it is it free the first year or not?

    A site is free if you choose the free site option. All upgraded plans, Blogger, Personal, Premium etc need to be paid for annually in advance.

    Perhaps you are talking about a custom domain. A custom domain is included free within the cost of a plan for the first year. You can have a custom domain with a Personal plan. You don’t have to have a Premium plan.
