Yes, WP is my registrar- and the DNS-s it wants are invalid
-
Hi,
So I just paid for a domain, VIA WORDPRESS- MEANING YES, WORDPRESS IS MY REGISTRAR, AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ISSUE.
Then I was told to update DNS. The instructions, so far, seem incorrect to me; there is no “domain management” link, as all the Help articles seem to suggest…but I did find something called “Edit DNS” next to my new domain, so I clicked it.
A warning at the top of the page told me what I should change my DNS to:
Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work. If you have already updated the nameservers you can ignore this message; it will stop appearing soon. So, I deleted what is currently there, and put in:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COMI was told these were invalid. So I tried just one:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COMStill no dice.
I can only access my pages as an admin now, and cannot view them with my new address OR view them with my old address. BOTH addresses are taking me somewhere else. And all the Help pages tell me the same thing: type in NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM. These simply do not work.Help? Thanks
