Yoast or wordpress problem?
-
Hi. I am having 2 problems with my site. First is that the snippet or the preview of pictures/title and paragraph doesn’t appear when shared on social media.
Second problem is this – Indexability check by OnPage.org
Your homepage cannot be indexed by search engines. This is very bad for SEO and should be fixed. When I checked OnPage.org everything seems fine. 100% of the robots are allowed. So I am having a very big trouble as to what will be the solution to this problem. I hope you can help us with this one. thanks.

First, check your website’s indexing status. Fire following search query:
info:domain.com
If you see your website in search result, you’re fine.
Second, regarding your snippet in social channels, you can code for OG Tags and Twitter Cards to the properties you want to get displayed.
Thanks

Hi. Yes. But I only see the article which is in our website, not the homepage.
Can you explain further regarding the OG tags and twitter cards? I hope you won’t mind and thank you so much for your help.

@flyingdeadleaf – Are you referring to the site linked to your username flyingdeadleaf.wordpress.com, which has one post from 2012? If not, what is the URL of the site you need help with, starting with https:// to make it clickable.

Hi again, you’ve posted your question in the support forums for sites hosted by WordPressdotcom.
For assistance with your above site using the standalone WP software, please head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username there, you can register one on that page.
Standalone WP and hosted WordPressdotcom are not the same. For clarity you may wish to read this Support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

@bhardwajshyam please be aware that these support forums are dedicated to sites hosted by and on WordPressdotcom.
Because our platform is a highly specialized WP install, we do not support sites using the standalone WP software here. Those users are best served by pointing them to the correct support forum for their program at https://wordpress.org/support If you wish to give support to sites using WP standalone, please head over to those forums. Thanks and best wishes!
