Yoast SEO | Gutenberg update issue
-
Hello,
I’ve been using the free yoast SEO plugin on my wordpress.com website for a year.
This week I received a notification from Yoast SEO on my dashboard : Yoast SEO detected you are using version 20.6.0 of Gutenberg, please update to the latest version to prevent compatibility issues.
I received this notification after creating a robots.txt file, an option offered by Yoast on wordpress.com.I’ve seen deleted the file but I’m still getting the notification. I’ve thought about deactivating the plugin and installing again, but I’d like to see if there’s another option available before deleting all my SEO work.
Thank you for for help !

Hi there!
On WordPress.com the version of Gutenberg is primarily managed by us, to make sure you receive the best one out there thus the best experience. Yoast’s notification is a default one and it’s not related to the robots.txt file, so you can definitely restore this if you need to, however, the version of Gutenberg will be managed from our side.I noticed you opened a forum thread, however, you have access to our live chat, so please let us know if you are not able to open one as shown here. We’re here and happy to help!
