  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

And, you can find Yoast SEO’s support at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/

Oh my God! Help me please!! I remember that when I first started building this website, I chose WordPress.com, but I don’t know how it became WordPress.org?? I just want my site to host with WordPress.com. So, what can I do now?? I have selected SiteGround as hosting plan. And I found that I have 2 domains, but one of them is disable.

  • Hi there,

Can you confirm the URL of the site you need help with?

There’s currently only one site in the tszyintsoi13 WordPress.com account you’re using to post here, and that site isn’t hosted on our servers. It’s connected to your account via the Jetpack plugin, but it has a temporary domain from Bluehost, box5530.temp.domains/~mytpharm/, and that’s no longer working.

I just want my site to host with WordPress.com. So, what can I do now?? I have selected SiteGround as hosting plan.

It’s impossible to use both WordPress.com and Siteground for the same site – we’re both hosting providers for the open source WordPress software that’s made on WordPress.org, and you can’t have a site hosted in more than one place at the same time. You can connect a Siteground site to WordPress.com via the Jetpack plugin, same as you can with a Bluehost site, but the site’s files would be hosted at Siteground, and you’ll be using the open source version of WordPress made over on WordPress.org.

And I found that I have 2 domains, but one of them is disable.

Can you tell me the domains? If I know that I should be able to clear up what’s going on here for you, but the account you’re using to post here has never owned any domains with us either.

    Hello,

    Yes, I need your help!!
First, I made a mistake for choosing Bluehost, so I gave up Bluehost and the domain (mytpharm). Second, I have 2 domains: mytpharmco (This one is my ideal domain now) and myt1919 (I will not use this one). Could you please teach me how to set up the website with WordPress.com and using SiteGround as for the hosting provider step by step under this situation ?? I really need you help!!!

  • Could you please teach me how to set up the website with WordPress.com and using SiteGround as for the hosting provider step by step under this situation ??

As @kokkieh mentioned above, it’s impossible to create a website on WordPress.com and have it hosted with Siteground. These are two independent companies providing similar services.

I understand that the domain you’re using is mytpharmco.com. If that’s the case, to access your site, you’ll go to mytpharmco.com/wp-admin.
For any questions about site creation, it’s best to ask at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

You could also transfer your site to WordPress.com and build it here, but since you’re already paying for your site’s hosting elsewhere, it’s probably not what you want.

So, can I transfer mytpharmco.com to WordPress.com? Or connect a Siteground site to WordPress.com? And how?

  • If you’d like to move your site from Siteground to WordPress.com, you can follow this guide:

    https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/.

If you’d rather stay with your current host but would like to manage your site from your WordPress.com account, you will need to install a plugin called Jetpack:
