Yoko Ono – image format without Title – Recent Posts show post number not Title

Hi beautiful people, I was wondering with “Image Formats” and other Format Types where the Post goes straight into the Content and a Title of the Post does not appear posted, is it correct that the email notification to subscribers and the Post “Title” say under the “Recent Posts” Widget show just the Post Number?

If you have a look at my Blog you will see “1432” posted on 25 August 2013 under “Recent Posts” on the right. I was wondering if somehow when I use these Formats, if I can get a Title or keywords appearing in the notifications?

I understand the idea of these Formats is not to have a Title, but to my understanding that is a case of the actual Post itself not having a Title which can detract from getting into the content of the Post. It’s just that seeing a number like “1432” doesn’t give the reader any idea of what the actual Post behind that link is about.

I have tried changing the “slug” from a Post Number to Words after saving the Post and before publishing it, and I have tried to save a Post with a Title (which shows initially in the “slug” or URL title) and then change the post Format Type to “Image”, but a Post Number still show up under “Recent Posts”.

Is this just a case of how all these special formats work, i.e. the Email Subscriber gets a Post Number only in their email notifications, AND the list of Posts can only display a Post Number?

    Thanks.
