yoko theme problem with categories

  I have recently set up a couple of blogs, using different themes. One of them is YOKO, but for some strange reason it does not show my categories, it does not even show the default ‘uncategorized’ category. It’s strange, because I can create categories and tick them for my posts, but they simply don’t show up.
  On my other blogs (using different themes) I don’t have that problem.
  Can anyone help?

  That blog shows that you are relying on the Uncategorized category. Might you be using Tags instead?

  I don’t know what I am doing wrong here, but the categories are set exactly in the same way as on this blog (http://rupertjaeger.wordpress.com), where they do appear. Is it possible that the yoko theme does not enable categories, as not even the default uncategorized appears?

  a) You need to go to Appearance > Widgets and add the Categories widget.
  b) A category won’t show in the widget if there are no posts filed under that category.
