YOLA IP Addresses

    Hi, I know it has been asked before and I have tried the IP addresses that Yola needs with the name servers. However the WordPress contact option is not appearing for me, despite having a paid upgrade (GRRR) so this is my only option for trying to get this happening.

    Can anyone please confirm the ip addresses I am currently using (that are not working).

    192.0.80.93
    69.174.248.148
    207.198.112.47

    Howdy @suzizglinicki,

    This isn’t the preferred method, but if you want to map your domain using A records, use the IP addresses:

    192.0.78.24 192.0.78.25

    Thanks for your response @daschultemn,

    I know it isn’t the preferred way however Yola has it set up so that the name servers have to have an IP address also.

    I set it back to two NS using the IP addresses you gave me, it hasn’t worked yet but I know it can take time. I know WordPress have the three NS, will it still work with just the two?

    It’s so frustrating! Thank you for your help. Hopefully it will work. The site has been offline for some time, I know this is because of the IP thing however Yola won’t let it map without it.

    I might have misunderstood you. I thought you wanted to use A records to map to your domain.

    Do you need the IP addresses for WordPress’ nameservers?

    ns1.wordpress.com / 198.181.116.9
    ns2.wordpress.com / 198.181.117.9
    ns3.wordpress.com / 192.0.74.9

    I’ve just applied those and will wait. I really appreciate your help with this! Hopefully it won’t take too long to be up and running. It says 72 hours but I’ve never had it take that full time, so I will check again tonight.

    Noticed that — just give it time. WHOIS suggests that your records were only updated on July 30th. It still could take a while for those nameserver changes to propagate.

    Still no luck! I’ve emailed Yola as well so I am hoping they might be able to help. Really frustrated that it is so hard to get direct help from WordPress, but thankful for the help on the forum here!
