  Hello,

  I am trying to purchase the premium plan with wordpress. I have previously purchased the specified domain while on the free plan but now want to upgrade my plan. However when I try to purchase the plan with the free domain renewal I get the following error – “you are attempting to purchase new products with renewals. Please purchase them separately”. I’m happy to purchase separately but wanted to ensure before I did so that the free year domain renewal will be available to me after I purchase a premium wordpress subscription

  Hi Matt,

  The free domain included with paid plans only apply to new domain registrations, not to domain renewals. So your current domain will not be renewed when you upgrade to a paid plan, but instead you’ll receive a credit to register or transfer a new domain.

  However, we can apply the credit to your current domain as a once-off courtesy. Go ahead and purchase the plan only, and let us know here once you’ve done that, then we can manually renew the domain for you.
