    You did not pay for “CSS tools”. You paid for the ability to use your CSS editing skills to alter the appearnce only, and not functionality of your theme, by undertaking editing of the CSS stylesheet. The upgrade applies to one blog and is for one year only when it then has to be renwed or it will revert to the original CSS for the theme.

    Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.

    Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I never recommend that members buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.

    I’m sorry but I cannot help. You will have to patiently wait until a Volunteer who occasional helps with CSS editing signs in and helps you. Here’s a post that is illuminating > http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

    in your CSS editor screen, there is a link at the bottom right that says,
    (View Original Stylesheet)

    Click that link, then copy it and paste over the page you have now. Caution, it will reset all your CSS to the original template. Then you can start anew.

    Are you talking about the line running through the top of your text which looks out of place? Your footer is sat over the top of your main content area. You can move it to the bottom, underneath your posts and sidebar by adding:

    #footer {clear:both;}

    If you’re giving that advise so the person can “reset” their stylesheet, then that’s wrong. To reset the stylesheet, the user needs to delete EVERYTHING in the CSS Editor and save. The default stylesheet will take over and the blog will have its original look.

    Addendum:
    Forgot to mention that the user should have the “Add to existing CSS” radio button checked… then save.
