You Are Vandalizing My Blog
-
I recently wrote a blog post and put up an image of an album cover of a Nazi record album in order to criticize it. Your goddamned broad brush censorship policy removed the image from my blog and from my image library.
I was describing Nazism as a collective psychosis! The album was an example!
How can we have free speech if we are unable even to discuss what is wrong with the world and display what is wrong?
I am seriously thinking of taking legal action against WordPress. Your Political Correctness is its own for form of mindless discrimination.
If someone is offended by the image they can bugger off instead of vandalizing my work.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If we removed an image we would tell you and tell you why.
There is NO censorship here.
Please send every detail to Support. The image filename would also be useful.
I will then email you back.

Viewing your source code, there is this code right at the top of your latest post:
<p>style="text-align: center;"> <img class="aligncenter" alt="" src="http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/626c40151e07665bf648758a49ccbfd3/924521.jpg"/></p>This image, http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/626c40151e07665bf648758a49ccbfd3/924521.jpg , is a 1px square tan jpg image. Is that the image file name you are you are talking about? It is not hosted on wordpress.com, and if you hotlinked to it, it might be that the site found out and replaced the image with the 1px square tan thing so that you would not hotlink to it. I’ve done things like that myself if someone hotlinks to one of my images, but I’ve typically used a much more vulgar and offensive image.
-
I hotlinked to an image I hosted in Photobucket, and Photobucket deleted the image. So I re-uploaded it here, and used it with no problem. And it’s this:
-
Just to confirm Mark’s post – icosa’s blog has not been censored or altered by staff. We have no idea what’s he’s referring to.
-
Nothing wrong with that image.
For future reference:
If you use an image which could be considered child porn it will be deleted. We won’t ask, we won’t tell you first, we will probably suspend your blog.
If you hotlink to an image elsewhere and the site owner complains we will remove the link. We won’t ask, we won’t tell you first. You will be left a notice asking you to get in touch after this is done. (Note: if that site owner replaces the image with something offensive then that could get your blog suspended. The fact they had that control would be your fault)
If you upload an image here and the copyright owner demands it be removed it will be. Again, we don’t ask, we won’t tell you first, it just goes. And again a note will be left for you.
We have to obey the law regarding the ownership of copyright – doesn’t come with a set of options. And if it was your image I think you would want all this to happen.
Other than this an image would have to be pretty extreme to be considered worthy of removal. Your blog could be marked mature because of it but you WOULD be told of this. You then have the choice to delete the image of course. I can remember a couple of times this has happened in the last 3 years.
