YOU BASTARDS! MY POST DIDN'T SAVE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SAVED!
-
IT DISAPPEARED WHEN I WENT TO ADD THE FEATURED IMAGE! I knew something was wrong when the “old form” of the image library appeared! Better fix it soon, or I’ll be finding a new blogging platform.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
But if the post was created here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ there is no means of recovery as the auto-save is not functioning there.
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
The auto-save works there and the post will be Standard post format unless you change it.Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ where the auto-save is not working and where you are creating an Aside post format.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

If you’d like tech support from the volunteers in the forum, you might want to try a different approach in future.

@rain-Prolly thought his/her post was being made only to Staff. That contact Support form button “Ask the Community for Support” seems to be generally overlooked by not a few people, especially since the top of the form is stuck underneath the blue bar.
Also I’m not sure I understand why this thread has been marked to have Staff close it. /shrugs
-
It’s astonishing that anyone would speak in that fashion to either Volunteers or to Staff. Fortunately, these threads are all indexed by Google and Bing and will remain available to all on the internet. So when searches are done in the future by prospective clients, customers or employersthey will know the communication “style” of those we are dealing with.

@tt – People are human. When frustrated they lose their temper. Personally, I don’t see that as a reason to ask to have a thread closed, so thank you for removing the tags you added (modlook, close thread please, breach of forum conduct code, etc.).

@justjenniefer
I don’t feel the same way at all.
did NOT remove the Tags.
I’m not happy that you posted this “People are human. When frustrated they lose their temper.”
As if! -
I understand how the Support process works, and I realize that other people don’t, but this seems like a great training opportunity, so I took it.

@tt-The tags were there when I posted the first time; they were gone when I posted again. Only you had posted in the interim. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
As I said to rain earlier, my feeling is that the OP probably thought they were posting to staff via the contact support form, but I still stand by my observation about frustrated people. We’ll just have to agree to disagree.
